i've never been in love before

yes! i love this song. not that i've never been in love in the past.... who am i kidding?! but i do love this song. i just didn't know that it's from the musical romantic comedy Guys and Dolls until last nite. cynch nuñez-morton sold me the tickets. (stage wife and mom. yes, i'm naming u, girl! lol) unfortunately, my roomie had to work last nite.

the scene started with a beautiful musical scoring. then with 3 new york gamblers. very impressive voice and american-italian accent. the whole cast is brilliant! the story is about Sky Masterson, a high-rolling gambler who was challenged to take Sarah Brown, Salvation Army missionary to Havana. Two different people falling in love, only to find out that Sky has a hidden motive to finance a crap game (a gambling game played with 2 dice). Poor Sarah feeling broken-hearted. falling in love for the first time, to a typical bad boy. i wanna share this excerpt from a very amusing song Marry The Man Today.

A lesson I've been taught
You've simply got to gamble
You get no guarantee

Marry the man today.
Trouble though he may be
Crazy and wild and free
Marry the man today
Rather than sigh in sorrow
Marry the man today
And change his ways tomorrow.
Marry the man today.
Marry the man today
Maybe he's leaving town
Don't let him get away
Hurry and track him down
Counterattack him and
Marry the man today
Give him the girlish laughter
Give him your hand today
And save the fist for after.
Slowly introduce him to the better things
Respectable, conservative, and clean
But marry the man today
Handle it meek and gently
Marry the man today and train him subsequently
Carefully expose him to domestic life
But Marry the Man today
Rather than sigh and sorrow
Marry the man today
And chance his ways - change his ways - his ways
Tomorrow!

imagine falling in love for the first time. thinking u found the man/woman of ur dreams only to find out he's a total opposite! hmmm... what would u do? what did u do???
